Harley Davidson is recalling its 2014-2015 Softail Motorcycles for a Front Turn Signals that may not Warn if Out.

SUMMARY:
Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley-Davidson) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 FLS Softail motorcycles manufactured March 25, 2013, to October 2, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been manufactured without lamp-outage detection for the front turn signals. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
CONSEQUENCE:
Without the turn signal lamp outage indicator, the rider may not be aware that a front turn signal is not working. And without working front turn signals, there is an increased risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Harley-Davidson will notify owners, and dealers will correct the body control module software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in January 2015. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464. Harley-Davidson's number for this recall is 0618.
