Hazard: A weld on the ATV's front right upper suspension arm can separate, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, posing a crash hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Honda is aware of four incidents of suspension arm weld failures, including one in which a rider suffered a sprained wrist.
Description: The recalled vehicles are two-wheel drive 2012 Honda FourTrax Rancher ATV models TRX420TE and TRX420TM. The ATVs are red or green and have the word "Honda" on both sides of the fuel tank and the word "Rancher" on the front cowl below the handlebars and on the left rear fender. Rancher models in the following VIN ranges are being recalled:

Summary: WILDFIRE IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2009 WF650-C MOTORCYCLES, MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 2008 THROUGH JANUARY 2009 FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 122, “MOTORCYCLE BRAKE SYSTEM.” AS BUILT, THESE MOTORCYCLES HAVE A SINGLE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WITH A SINGLE FILLER OPENING AND LACK THE REQUIRED RESERVOIR LABELING. WARNING LAMPS INDICATING BRAKE FAILURE ARE ALSO ABSENT.

Consequence: WITHOUT THE REQUIRED BRAKE RESERVOIR LABEL, OPERATORS MAY IMPROPERLY MAINTAIN THE BRAKE SYSTEM. WITH ONLY A SINGLE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR FOR THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM AND NO BRAKE FAILURE INDICATOR LAMP, IN THE EVENT OF ANY BRAKE FLUID LEAK, THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM COULD FAIL WITHOUT WARNING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: WILDFIRE WILL CONTACT OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL CORRECT THE MOTORCYCLES
